新加坡有3座新生水厂，每天可提供约9万立方米的新生水。目前，第四座新生水厂正在建设之中，预计2006年底投入使用，其规模超过其他3座新生水厂的总和，届时新加坡的新生水日产量将增加一倍以上。新加坡的目标是到2011年，每天供应25万立方米新生水，满足全国用水总需求的15%以上。

滨海堤坝横贯滨海水道河口，是新加坡第十五大水库，也是首个建在市中心的水库。滨海堤坝汇水区面积1万亩，相当于新加坡总面积的六分之一，是那里最大的，也是最城市化的汇水区域。滨海堤坝，再加上另外两个水库，将会使新加坡的淡水汇集面积从相当于国土面积的二分之一扩大到三分之二。新加坡内阁资政李光耀先生早在二十年前就提出了在滨海水道入口处筑坝，修建一个淡水水库。这就是今天的滨海堤坝。
南洋理工大学，英文Nanyang Technological University，缩写为NTU，简称“南大” ，是一所享誉国际的高等教育学府，是国际商学院联合会AACSB International认证的大学。1991年，南洋理工学院进行重组，正式将国立教育学院纳入旗下，更名为南洋理工大学。
